Roger Chiasson

In my home studio I design, play with textured or coloured glass, cutting, grinding, fusing. I occasionally envision shapes from ornaments or photos for my creations.
I also set finished glass pieces into fallen cedar trees collected from our forests. The elements have naturally shaped the cedar trees and in turn, shape my designs. Occasionally aged and weathered barnwood salvaged from dismantled barns also serve a purpose in my designs. My goal is to create one of a kind pieces where sunlight illuminates the glass, casting colors where they fall.
